Strolling through Nishi-ward: When the shades of night falls
When the shades of night falls, a giant tower of light appears in the corner of Minato Mirai 21 area. That is NTT Media Tower. The 253 meters ground height tower looks just a rustic tower extending from a metallic building during the day. However, once it was illuminated at night, it suddenly turns into fantastical one. That’s very interesting. Maybe it’s same as the proverb “Women appear the most beautiful when viewed from afar, in the dark, or when wearing a bamboo hat.”
With its glass filters, the color of the tower changes depending on the season. Another selling point of the tower is Multi Media Tower Land which occupies from first floor to fourth floor. Each floor is named as Yokohama-Yuden-chi, which is very elaborate facility where you can experience all aspects of latest information and communications. It would be interesting to stop by on your walk.
