Description
Strolling through Nishi-ward: Landmark Tower
There is a funny tale that in one area of Tohoku region, everyone is somehow in favor of Minamoto no Yoshitsune and if they cannot see Yoshitune in a show, they cannot accept it. Even if the show is Konjiki Yasha, they call out “Yoshitune!” regardless of the story line. Playactors understand them very well, so they come up with an act where Yoshitune leisurely passing over the stage, but audience are very happy with it and give big round of applause. When Yoshitune passes the stage, he says “although I have no particular business”.
You can see Landmark Tower, which is now a symbol of Yokohama from many places. It has become kind of an accessory view, but it makes an appearance everywhere, so it somewhat reminds me of Yoshitune.
This picture is a scenery near prefectural library in Momijigaoka. You can see Landmark Tower as a main character.
