Strolling through Nishi-ward: Naritasan in Nishi-ward

There are surprisingly many people who don’t know that there is a branch temple of Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple in Nishi-ward. It is located just a stone's throw away from Iseyama Kotaijingu. Its Honzon (principal object of worship) of the temple is Fud? My?? (Acala) and it was built in 1870 (Meiji 3).

Entering red torii-gate in front of Nogeyama-Suigyodo, you can find Suigyo-ba (where you can have ascetic water training) on your right. On your left, you will find Fushimi/Toyokawa/Shinei Inari. In the middle, there is a pond where turtles are living, you can find Fukuman Benzaiten. Then alongside cliff where melted rocks were piled, you can find red-roof Dainichi-do. Next toit, there is En no Gy?ja statue at the back of hole. Many incense and flowers were offered at every corner of the temple.

When you climb up further, you will find Nogeyama Fudoson with his eyes opening wide and with Ce?aka and Ki?kara statues on both sides. This temple is like a different world far from din and bustle of a town.
