Strolling through Nishi-ward: A city where nobody lives

There is a bit strange city near well-known gas tank in Hiranuma. It has beautiful streetscape including roadside trees, magnificent or elegant houses on both sides of the road. In addition, there are colorful flags and banners waiving all over the city. However, something is strange. There is no lived-in feeling or sound including laughter and running footfall of children, and smell of curry for dinner. It is somehow creepy to cross the city in the evening. Only stray cats cross the road sometimes. It is like a gorgeous ghost town.

Now I’ll show you the trick. This is housing exhibition which offers ordinary people dreams and natures their dreams. But it reminded me that there is no meaning if there is no one living in a city or house. Without people, it is just a sad city.
