Onko Chishin! Trek-trek Sketch in Nishi-ward: Rinko Park
Going through Queen's Square YOKOHAMA in Minatomirai area which is always busy and passing by a big Exhibition Hall, you will arrive at Rinko Park. You can see Yokohama Bay Bridge and Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse in Yokohama port from the park which has Shioirinoike pond and big grass square.
This park was developed as a seaside park for YOKOHAMA EXOTIC SHOWCASE '89 which was held in March 1989 (Heisei 1) in commemoration of 100th year anniversary of Yokohama city government and 130th year anniversary of opening of Yokohama port.
There are some shops in the grass square and many young families who might be living in high-rise condos nearby. They were enjoying picnic bringing lunch boxes and drinks. Kids were having fun playing badminton and catch. A doggy looked happy to be in the open space. It looks like various events are held here.
After sketching, I lay down on the grass and enjoyed wide sky for a while.
