Description
Gorintou “five-ringed tower” said to be the grave of Gosho Goroumaru. A story about Goroumaru is chiseled on a marble plaque.
In Kenkyu 4 (1193), on the night Minamoto no Yoritomo held a large hunt in Fuji, Soga brothers avenged their father’s death by killing Suketsune Kudou who had joined the hunt. According to the tales, Goroumaru helped the brothers with the revenge by leading them to Suketsune’s residence.
