Description
Founded by Donkai, it is said the temple was established when Yakushido Temple in Mount Sodesuri was moved here in Kanei 13 (1636).
Yakushi nyorai, its principal image, is said to be the protector of Gongoro Kagemasa Kamakura, and called the eye-washing medicine buddha.
It is thought this name comes from the story of Kagemasa fighting fiercely despite being shot trough an eye during the Gosannen War.
