Description
The hill the shrine is located is commonly known as Mount Sodesuri, and there used to be a beautiful inlet called Sodegaura before the reclamation. In Joryaku 4 (1080), a divided spirit of Konohana Sakuya Himeno Mikoto, the god worshiped at Fuji Sengen Shrine, was enshrined. A large festival is held on June 1 in the lunar calendar, the first day of climbing season for Mount Fuji.
