Description

【Wisteria Flowers Spot】These wisteria trellises are located on both sides of the Fujidana intersection. The name “Fujidana-cho” comes from the magnificent wisteria trellises which used to exist at the teahouse called Suzukiya near the entrance of Fujidana First Avenue Shopping Street in the early Meiji period. In 1977, the “Wisteria Trellis Preservation Society” formed by local volunteers restored the wisteria trellises and replanted it three times before it became the current appearance.
